Intermodal

Feature List

TotalFleet has built in tracking for all Intermodal Transport Operations. Some of the Features include:

  • Complete detailed container activity information.
  • Detailed damage and repair information is kept for each container.
  • Damages entered via a TIR are entered by pointing to the location of the damage on the picture on-screen and by describing the damage This feature is displayed below).
  • Containers are automatically added to the container database when either a TIR is created or when a dispatch order is entered.
  • Computer Aided Dispatch will automatically update the containers status and location and will even indicate when the container is in transport. You can keep track of every move!
  • Flexible Container Aging setup so you can bill for container yard activities and keep track of when you will start getting charges for storage or per diem.
  • Many reports that help you manage your intermodal operation: The reports include, but are not limited to, Container Inventory, Container Activity, Container Damage Reports, Graphical TIR's, BOL's and much more. Reports can be customized using the commercially available Crystal Reports writer.
  • Updating of steamship line by EDI .
  • Tracking and warning of steamship and customs clearances.

Graphical TIR Entry

TotalFleet was designed to be easy to use even by the novice computer user. A great example of our commitment to ease of use is our graphical TIR entry window. Below you will see a sample window of how damages are entered into the TIR.

Container Aging

TotalFleet has a flexible container aging configuration. Aging is configured by the use of an aging profile. Steamship lines and customers can be members of an aging profile. This allows your company to charge for container yard services to other customers.

Each aging profile can support either a flat aging amount after so many days (including or not including weekends). Tiered charging is also supported based on the number of days.

Dispatch Integration

TotalFleet integrates its intermodal operations with its Computer Aided Dispatch features. When a container is picked from the yard, it is marked as en route, the container aging resets, the container history is updated, etc. Also, TotalFleet will not allow a dispatcher to dispatch a container with a load unless it has been cleared by steamship and customs (this option is configurable).

TotalFleet will keep track of additional charges like tolls, etc. in addition to regular delivery charges. The BOL that is printed can include the load information like seal, contents, weight etc. from the container database.
